Trekking for the Trust -Mera Peak September 24 -October 17 2016

Welcome to my "Burns Trust Challenge" fundraising page! I am proud to be part of this wonderful initiative and aim to raise vital funds to help the Julian Burton Burns Trust continue to reduce the incidence and impact of burn injury.

This year, I will be attempting to climb one of the highest trekking peaks in Nepal (6,476m)- Mera Peak; total distance 125km. I will be trekking from September 24th 2016 to October 17th 2016. I'm hoping for a clear day and hopefully I will be able to see five of the six highest mountains on Earth (Cho Oyu 8201m, Lhotse 8516m, Everest 8848m, Makalu 8463m, Kangchenjunga 8586m).

Please help me to reach my fundraising goal by donating to my page.

Thank you so much for your support!!

FIRST AID QUICK GUIDE
In an emergency call 000
1. REMOVE
Remove any clothing and jewellery from the affected area to allow effective cooling of the burn.
2. COOL
Cool the burn under cool running water for 20 minutes - this will stop the burning process and also help ease the pain.
3. COVER
Cover the burn with a clean lint free cloth or if it is a large area, cover loosely with cling wrap to lessen the chance of infection.
4. SEEK
Seek medical advice if the burn is larger than a 20 cent piece or on the face, hands, feet or groin area.
