Cote D'Ivoire Jewish Community

The Project

Kulanu supports isolated and emerging Jewish communities around the world. In Cote D'Ivoire, a community has been living a Jewish life, studying Torah, Hebrew, and mitzvot, observing Shabbat and holidays.

In December 2017, Kulanu will send a delegation to Cote D'Ivoire to offer traditional conversions and Jewish wedding ceremonies. Our delegation will include a bet din (rabbinic court) of three Orthodox rabbis who will supervise the conversions of more than 40 candidates. After the conversions, eight couples will then have Jewish weddings ceremonies and celebrations.

The Impact

Your contribution will pay for the expenses of the Beit Din (rabbinical court) and eight weddings. This history-making series of events will help transform the emerging Jewish community in Cote D'Ivoire from an isolated group to a community that experiences a much stronger connection to the world wide Jewish community.  Help us make them become part of Klal Yisrael, the Jewish nation. Together, let us grow our people.
