Cameroon Cocoa Farm

Welcome to the Kulanu-Cameroon Cocoa Farm fundraising page! Kulanu, Inc ( has partnered with the Beth Yeshourun community of Cameroon to assist them in buying farm land and planting cocoa (Cameroon's leading crop) so they can support themselves economically. Led by Serge Etele, who in February-March 2012 visited the United States for the first time on the Kulanu-Cameroon Speaking Tour, the planting began in June 2012 and the cocoa plants are already sprouting!

Support this project now by clicking the "Make a Donation" link and giving as generously as you can. $55 pays for one hectare (2.5 acres) of farm land to be purchased and planted. Any amount helps!

Photo by Serge Etele. We are delighted at the opportunity for this emerging Jewish community to develop a sustainable source of income. Right now, many families there survive on just one meal a day, even if they are fortunate enough to have some of their own land. But our dollars can make a big impact in Africa: for example, it costs just $36 to purchase and plant 100 plantain plants, one step in the cocoa-growing process. Donate today and support the Beth Yeshourun Jewish community of Cameroon's cocoa farm!

Want to do more than just donate to support the community cocoa farm? From this site, you can become a fundraising leader and engage your friends and family in tzedekah. Simply register for the Kulanu-Cameroon Cocoa Farm fundraiser, start or join a team, set a goal, and begin raising money among your networks. (If they use the link to your own Personal Fundraising Page, or PFP, their names and gift amount, as well as optional message, will appear live on your PFP right away!) You can also search for other participants and donate toward their goals, or simply click on "Make a Donation" to give a gift, then share this page with your friends and family and tell them to mention your name.
