We were excited to unveil the 2021 postponed 30th Anniversary program Carnival to AFCM Friends yesterday and are thrilled that we have been able to adapt to the ever changing circumstances that COVID-19 has challenged us with this past year. A New Executive Director
AFCM is seeking a new Executive Director to lead our successful festival into its fourth decade. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and develop one of Australia’s benchmark festivals. Combining high-end chamber music and a tropical Queensland setting it’s a seductive mix that wins hearts and minds every year. The full-time position is based in Townsville. AFCM Friends received their Booking Brochure by email yesterday and can now view the full 2021 Festival program, the artists appearing and information about special events. Ticket sales for AFCM Friends open from this Friday 12th of February. They secure the best available seats and enjoy ticketing discounts. It's not too late to become an AFCM Friend. The Advanced Winterschool is held in Townsville during the Australian Festival of Chamber Music, and is an unforgettable experience for emerging musicians. Students will gain access to some of Australia's leading artists for lessons, masterclasses, mentoring and concerts. Advanced/tertiary level ensembles are invited to apply. A warm welcome in sunny seaside Townsville is assured, as are first-rate concert experiences and coaching at an expert level. This opportunity is affordable, educational and potentially life changing. Young emerging ensembles have the opportunity to gain access to some of the world's leading chamber musicians as well as concerts.

Maldives Artworks, a striking new exhibition by NQ Artist, Roland Nancarrow, is touring Australia, and will be shown at Perc Tucker Regional Gallery from 22 January to 28 March.
