´╗┐THE NEIGHBORHOOD
February 2020

A Busy Season

After the winter holidays typically is considered a "quiet" time of year. But as I look around at all that is going on with and at MHP, it seems to be anything but quiet.

You will get a sense of it by reading this newsletter: Long Branch community 5K in March; budget discussions and advocacy to grow financial support for affordable housing; residents meeting with County Council members; a workshop to connect apartment owners with valuable resources; students learning through hands-on science activities and performance workshops focused on civics and democracy.

We appreciate the essential support you provide to help our residents thrive. We hope you will find opportunities to connect with us in the busy months ahead -- join us for the Long Branch 5K or take a closer look at one of MHP's communities through a tour (information below).

Advocating For Affordable Housing

Budget deliberations affecting the future of affordable housing are underway. MHP is urging housing advocates to support expanded funding for Montgomery County's Housing Initiative Fund, an important source of money for the preservation and creation of affordable housing options. Learn more here.

Long Branch 5K: March 22!
