Celebrating 30 Years!
Dear Friend:
Thirty years ago, a group of community and faith leaders gathered around a table to try to solve a vexing problem: individuals and families with limited incomes were struggling to find quality, affordable housing in Montgomery County. The solution they devised: Montgomery Housing Partnership.
Fast forward 30 years. MHP is providing over 1,700 quality, affordable homes to individuals and families, along with enrichment programs for young students, and collaborative efforts to build stronger neighborhoods. We look forward to celebrating our accomplishments and sharing our vision for the future in the months ahead.
Thanks to Montgomery Community Media for featuring us on our anniversary. Click on the image to watch.

Parkview Manor Preview: Upgrades & Art
Parkview Manor Apartments, MHP’s only property in Prince George’s County, is undergoing a full renovation that includes exciting new features and upgrades.
These include brand new kitchens, bathrooms and flooring. The 53-unit Hyattsville property will be more inclusive, with two accessible units as well as an accessible management office and community room. Parkview Manor will have an artistic flare too: an artist has been commissioned to create sculptures for the property's courtyards to provide a unifying effect and connect it aesthetically with the nearby Hyattsville art district.
Parkview Manor is in an attractive, convenient location about a mile from the Metro and within walking distance to amenities that include a grocery store, pool, and restaurants.
Stay tuned! We will announce a date for a ribbon-cutting ceremony later this year.
Coming Up
Mark your calendar! MHP's Annual Norman Christeller Golf Classic is scheduled for Monday, June 24, at the Hampshire Greens Golf Course. The Norman Christeller Golf Classic provided the initial seed money to launch MHP and the event remains a crucial source of funds to ensure our Community Life programs continue to provide enrichment opportunities to low-income children in Montgomery County.
Last year, the event attracted more than 120 business leaders and philanthropists for golf, networking, and the chance to support programs that encourage young people to grow up to be future leaders. Join us as a participant or sponsor.
