Snapshot of Survey Results and Survey Winner!
Dear ,
Each year we ask you to complete a survey giving us feedback on your Festival experience. The information helps us identify areas for improvement and importantly feeds into an economic and cultural impact report, which also supports our funding applications. Thank you to everyone who completed the survey and thank you for the results… we are thrilled to hear that you loved the 2016 Festival!
- 97% of you were satisfied with your Festival experience
- 98% would recommend the Festival to others
- 91% felt the Festival provided good value for money, and
- 94% of you plan to return in the future
The things you loved about this year’s Festival were the quality of the music and artists, the atmosphere, Concert Conversations and the tropical location. Some of the areas you suggested we work on included: improving transport to venues, reviewing catering at events such as Concert Crawl and Concert Conversations, making the program easier to read, and consider starting and finishing evening converts earlier.
Congratulations to Janet and William Ewan from Buderim who were the lucky winners of our $500 cash prize for completing the survey. We hope you come back next year!
Warm regards,
The AFCM Team.
Where are they now?
Valda Wilson, Soprano (Aus/Germany)
Valda took some well-earned time off after AFCM on beautiful Magnetic Island and has since returned to Germany. But thankfully we won’t have to wait long to see her back in Australia as she returns for Handel's Theodora with Pinchgut Opera in Sydney at City Recital Hall from 30 November - 6 December 2016. Valda will also be performing in The Carnival: A Circus Opera at The Concourse, Chatswood VIC on the 17th and 18th February 2017 and Beethoven's 9th Symphony with the Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra in March 2017. For more information visit Valda's website.
