Warm Regards,
The AFCM Team.

This is such an exciting day for me and I can hardly believe that finally, our wonderful artists and all the amazing music they will be performing for you have been revealed.
As you read this, I am in Townsville and I can honestly say that for the past few weeks, I have scarcely been able to think of anything else except spilling all these delicious beans!
Please tell me you’re excited too, and if there are pieces in the program that you’ve not heard before, please come and see what you think about them. Apart from the world premieres, which are of course surprises for all of us, I have listened to every note you are about to hear. For both performers and listeners, I know that the musical content of this festival will give us all an experience capable of running the full breadth of our emotions. Aren't our AFCM artists fantastic?
I’m so thrilled that everyone I asked said ‘Yes’ and I can’t wait for the collaborations to begin. My first words to you all were about CONNECTIONS; well here they are, running throughout the festival program for you to enjoy. Now I can’t wait to hear my musical ideas come to life and bounce off the page with commitment, energy, passion and all the combined artistry these very special musicians will bring to Townsville.
AFCM 2018 is launched!
Warmest regards,
