A message from Artistic Director - Jack Liebeck
Firstly, may I express how excited I am to be taking the Artistic Directorship role at the Australian Festival of Chamber Music!  This is a festival that holds so many wonderful memories for me, friendships begun and incredible musical experiences had throughout my seven festivals that I performed in as an artist.
The AFCM was really the seed of my artistic life in Australia (thanks to the then AD, Piers Lane), and I remember arriving for the first time, bleary eyed and frazzled off a flight from London, unaware of the incredible atmosphere and spirit that this festival creates. I soon realised that this was a festival with a difference and I particularly remember the generosity of our volunteers and how friendly and supportive the interaction with our audience was. My time in Townsville was life changing and I had a feeling deep down that we may come together one day - careful what you dream of!
My intention is to restart the festival afresh from the slumber we have all been forced to endure for the last two years, to continue to build on this wonderful event’s long history of incredible music making and enthralling programming.
I will try to surprise, challenge and entertain you and I cannot wait for opening night in 2022.

Supporting the Festival
Thank you
AFCM has many friends and one of the things that has provided inspiration and energy to all involved during the many twists and turns this year has been the support that so many have provided. Messages of thanks and encouragement, donations small, large, and everything in between, have been part of keeping AFCM on track and looking forwards.
Our sincere thanks to all of you, it has really made a difference when that was needed. Our supporters are listed here, and for Future Fund here, do please have a look and applaud yourself and your fellow travellers. If you’d like to make a tax-deductible contribution to our Future Fund or make a general donation to AFCM you can do so here. If you’d like more information please contact me or T 07 4771 4144 and I’d be happy to help, everybody is welcome! Thank you.
