Covid 19 and the Golden Rule

The CDC’s recommendations for physical distancing and wearing face coverings to reduce transmission of Covid-19 has sparked strong opinions in many people, for a variety of reasons. For others its created confusion due to changing or conflicting information, limited data, and unanswered questions. As we weigh these considerations and make important choices on how we conduct ourselves to ensure our safety and that of our families and our communities - consciously or not - compassion, kindness and respect for others are also part of that decision making process. What our parents taught us still applies today, “Treat others as you would wish to be treated.”

As a reminder to those with cancer and others who are immunocompromised we remind you to be your own best advocate! Be cognizant of what is best for you and your situation and don't forget to talk with your healthcare team before making decisions.

Partner Bags

Bag It is proud to partner with Patient Power and The CLL Society to create a Bag It bag specifically for those diagnosed with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL). This collaboration combines the valuable content of the Bag It bag with a dedicated section filled with educational information about this type of cancer, treatments, and lab values as provided by these two prominent nonprofits. They are an excellent extension of the Bag It resource as they provide ongoing information and support for those facing CLL. If you know someone diagnosed with CLL you can order this special Bag It bag for them on our website. Be sure to check out the Bag It resource center  and the resources and workshops offered by our nonprofit partners. A big shout out to Pharmacyclics, an AbbVie Company, and Janssen Biotech, Inc. for their gift to educate, support and empower those impacted by CLL.
Give the Gift Today!
The Bag It bag is a valuable resource for individuals diagnosed with cancer. We want to make sure every person that desires a bag has the opportunity to receive one. Some receive a bag from their medical provider or a friend/colleague might send them one, but many people find Bag It and order online for themselves.
We receive daily requests by individuals with a financial hardship who would benefit from a bag and we make sure to honor that request.
Our Spring Fundraiser, Give the Gift of Bag It, helps raise funds to ensure that all who ask for a bag will receive one with no hassle.

Bag It Educates, Supports, and Empowers those impacted by cancer.

We help patients, caregivers, and cancer advocates to Fight the Fear of Cancer through our two key programs: the Bag It bag and Escape to THRIVE. The bag helps anyone with any type of cancer to cope with their diagnosis and become active members of their treatment team. Escape to THRIVE is a national leadership conference to support cancer advocates.
