Membership Meeting and Holiday Party Wrap!

We had a successful meeting and fun holiday party on December 7th, with 37 in attendance! BCB staff wants to thank board president, Ty Thompson, for leading the meeting and Dirty Santa game!

During the membership meeting, new board members were voted in and some terms were renewed by our membership. We congratulate re-elected board members - Gary Knack and Charles Sidney - and we welcome new board members - Peggy Knack, Jenne Culbertson, Rick Sawyer, and Karen Cross! All proposed bylaw changes were passed, excluding Section 5, Article 2 (regarding the Nominating Committee) which will remain the same.

We're proud to report 70% of our board, 58% of our membership, and 66% of our staff are visually impaired or blind. We think this is crucial for the direction of our organization.

After the meeting, food was served and Dirty Santa began. We would like to give a huge shout out to City Barbeque, who donated chicken and pork, which was delicious and more than enough to feed all our members! And a huge thank you to everyone who brought a side dish!

Pictures are below - thanks to Marian Keesy for donating her time to take pictures for us! You can see all our pictures on our Facebook page!
