June Events at the Wildlife Centre

The Kootenay Community Bat Project is offering a Bat Count Workshop at the Wildlife Interpretation Centre on Thursday June 4th from 8:30-10:30 pm.  See a local bat colony and become trained as a Citizen Scientist.  Come and learn more about bat ecology and conservation and how to conduct an Annual Bat Count to monitor bat populations.  The event is free.  For more details, go here.

We are offering Family Fun Days every Saturday in June.  Check out the poster for details and themes for each of the days.

Join us for a Bat House Building Workshop on Saturday June 20th.  We will provide the pre-cut pieces and you will assemble it and take it home.  We will provide fun and engaging information on bats with activities and presentations.  You must pre-register for this event (call 250 402 6908) and the cost is $10 per house (one bat house per household).
