National Down Syndrome Congress
NDSC and NDSS Action Alert
Have You Contacted the Governor of Maryland?

The Saylor family and the Down syndrome community are still in the dark about what happened the evening of January 12th, 2013, when one of our own, Ethan Saylor, a 26-year-old man with Down syndrome, died while being improperly restrained by off duty law enforcement officers.

Please read our Action Alert and contact the Governor by phone or email right away!

At DownSyndrome Achieves, we believe research is not about finding a cure.

It's about developing breakthrough therapies and best practices that can help families better manage the list of chronic illnesses and other challenges that typically affect people with DS on a daily basis.

If we, as a community, make research a priority, we can help our loved ones with DS live longer, healthier and more vibrant lives. But with no tools or funding or support for DS researchers, there can be no progress.

In the coming weeks, we will announce a sweeping initiative that will strengthen current DS research capabilities not only for DSRI partner institutions, but for DS researchers nationwide.

It's time we all reimagine the possible.
