"Philanthropy is an idea, event or action that is done to better humanity..."
Today, is National Philanthropy Day.
This is a day that celebrates the contributions of philanthropy - and everyone who works so hard to make the world a better place.
In the spirit of this occasion, I thank everyone who has helped to make FAMILYConnections the organization it is today - a leader in the industry, delivering counseling, skills-building, training and prevention services in 7 counties, helping over 4,000 children, adults and families each year.
Hope Lives Here at FAMILYConnections with your help!
For the battered woman trying to create a safe new home for her children. For the dad trying to get off drugs and the teen trying to stay out of gang life. For the abused child who needs the latest trauma treatment to heal and thrive. For the older adult wanting support services so she can remain independent in her own home. FAMILYConnections brings hope to all of these people, and through hope, they are empowered to overcome their challenges.

We could not fulfill our mission without the help of our Board of Trustees, donors, community partners, staff, and volunteers. Thank you!!
As the season of giving and gratitude begins, remember the words of Winston Churchill, "We make a living by what we get. But we make a life by what we give."
That's what National Philanthropy Day is all about!
Our deepest thanks to you on behalf of all the people your support helps. Our best wishes for a wonderful holiday season!
