Meet New Main Street Staff Member
I am MaryAnn Hanley and am very happy to join Main Street as Executive Assistant. I'm the very proud mother of four adult children and two absolutely delightful little grandsons. I hail originally from Long Island, NY, but have lived in Alabama, Pennsylvania and for many years in Illinois. I'm now happy to consider Rockville, Maryland, home!
Most recently, I worked for over a decade at a locally based retail corporation. As I searched for my next adventure, I was certain I wanted to be a part of an organization with a heart and making a difference in the world. I am thrilled to be able to join Main Street and grow along with it.
I look forward to meeting you all and becoming part of the community!
We need your support for ...
Sept. 28 Flapjack & Friends Community Builder and Fundraiser
Main Street's Flapjacks & Friends will be a free, festive street party on Saturday, September 28, from 10:30 am - 12:30 pm in Rockville Town Square. We'll build community and enjoy delicious flapjacks and live entertainment.
Our main purpose is to bring together and grow our inclusive community - people of all ages, stages and abilities. This is also our big fundraiser for the year; funds received from donations and sponsorships will support our operational budget for 2019-2020.
Here are ways to support this amazing event and to help Main Street thrive:
We hope you will help us make Flapjacks & Friends a huge success!

Professional Member Spotlight
This month we would like to highlight Ben Huizinga who is both a professional and family member of Main Street. Ben and the rest of his family (Jim, Karen, Jess, Milly and Sally) have been supporting Main Street for a number of years, attend most of our events and tend to stand out from the crowd (literally – they are very tall).
Over the last two years, Ben has been the driving force behind continual improvements to the Main Street website and some of our print collateral. Though he is always focused on the work left to do, he is also extremely proud of the progress made to date - and we at Main Street are extremely grateful to Ben! Ben is a self-described "jack-of-all-trades" and has helped Main Street with web development, graphic design and search engine optimization – just to name a few. When Ben is not supporting Main Street, he works as a Project Manager with Taoti Creative
– a full-service agency in Washington, DC.
If you are interested in learning more about how Ben or Taoti Creative can help you or your company, please feel free to email him at email@example.com
