Stepping Stones - Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) 
The Family Support Network will offer this new 9-week course on Parenting Children with Special Needs in the Spring of 2018 for families who have children with special needs between 2-5 years. 
The group will meet weekly and learn parenting strategies that have proven to be effective for children with special needs. Space will be limited to 14 parents.  There will be no cost to families for this program.  If you would like to be considered for this course please contact Chris Gentry at 336-703-4289.

Thank you to all who participated in our recent mini survey.  We were able to get the data we needed very quickly!

Triple P Stepping Stones Seminars
The Family Support Network will be providing 3 Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) Seminars beginning this month. These seminars will focus on parenting skills and strategies for families who have children with special needs between 2-5 years of age. The workshops will be held on 2/27, 3/13, and 3/27 at The Children’s Center (2315 Coliseum Dr. WS 27106). Dinner and child care will be provided with RSVP. Please call the FSN office at 336-703-4289 if you would like to make a reservation. If you find that you cannot attend after you have made a reservation, please let us know as soon as possible so someone else may attend. Registration will be limited to 25 parents. Dinner will be served at 5:30 and the meeting and childcare will be from 6:00-7:30 PM.

Changing Spaces is a parent led advocacy effort that brings awareness to the need for adult-sized changing tables and lifts in family restrooms. Currently, standard family restrooms are equipped with baby changing tables that are unsafe for anyone over 20 lbs.

Can you help us make a connection?
The Family Support Network of Greater Forsyth provides two outreach events a month to serve dinner to families who have infants and children in our local hospital Intensive Care Units. We are currently looking for groups who are interested in providing volunteers and food for an event in 2018 (average attendance is about 30). Do you have a connection with a volunteer group, civic organization or restaurant that might like to sponsor a “CHAT & SNACK” ?  Please call the Family Support office for more details about this wonderful community service 336-703-4289.
