New Service Centre in Carlisle doubles capacity

New Langham Service Centre
Join us in praising God that after three years - including Covid-related delays and interruptions - our new fit-for-purpose Service Centre in Carlisle is complete.
The new premises fulfils the need for double the capacity of the previous warehouse and offices, leased by Langham for ten years.

From here, Langham Literature distributes thousands of books to Majority World Bible colleges every year. Crucial support staff for all three programmes are also appreciating larger office space.

John Libby, LPUKI’s National Director, says that purchasing a new building will save significant funds in the long-term.

Scholar's impact in Brazil
You might be surprised to hear about the huge impact of just one Scholar in one community in Brazil.
Read about the ripple effect of Langham Scholar Dr Antonio Barro, who started a Bible College, which was attended by a young man called Marcio.
Marcio has started a ministry reaching vulnerable children and adults, believing that understanding the Bible is relevant to every problem of every individual in every community.

Dear

‘Build back better’ works as a general post Covid metaphor and aspiration but also, in Langham’s case, as a literal description of what these last months have meant for our organisation. We have indeed ‘built back (much) better’ and you will have seen more of the detail in this eNews. At the start of this month our Carlisle team moved into premises newly built to our own specification and providing twice the size of warehouse and office space as well as reducing our annual costs! This both enables us to cope with our immediate needs and also lay the foundation (literal and metaphorical…) for the continuing expansion of our mission and ministry as envisaged by our reworked Strategic Plan. There’s possibly no better time for you to increase your own engagement and/or introduce others – things are getting exciting and so expect many more Programme anecdotes in addition to those shared 'from broadcasting to Brazil' in this month’s eNews! Thank you for your continuing interest, encouragement and support.

With Christian greetings

John Libby,
National Director, Langham Partnership UK and Ireland
