Grove Cottage Newsletter - March 2019
Congratulations to Ben on his High Sheriff Award!
Well done to Ben Wallace who received a High Sheriff Personal Award on 14th March for his involvement with Grove Cottage. The award recognises Ben's personal growth and development which he has gained through ongoing volunteering at Grove Cottage @Thirst Youth Cafe and also in our Nursery.

Suzy Harvey, the High Sheriff of Hertfordshire said: “I was thrilled to present Ben with his High Sheriff’s Personal Award. He is a wonderful young man, volunteering his time to help others in the cafe and nursery and during my visits to both I could see he was an integral part of the team. He is a shining example of a young person giving back to his community, a fantastic role model and a true asset to Grove Cottage."

Our Nursery receives £110,000 from the National Lottery
Earlier this month we received the wonderful news that we had been awarded £110,000 worth of funding from The National Lottery Community Fund  to help towards the costs of running our Special Needs Nursery over the next five years.

Thanks to National Lottery players this funding means that we will be able to continue to provide support for children under 5 who have additional needs and for their families who often have no support. We have to raise approximately £45,000 every year to keep this facility open so this donation really has secured the future of our nursery for many families in the future.

With such strong emphasis on the ‘fun’ element and with the audience being encouraged to participate, the formula for a great night is certainly guaranteedTickets cost £20 which includes a curry buffet meal.
