This is the 20th year of the Angels for Children Toy Drive, an MHP partnership with the Wheaton & Kensington Chamber of Commerce and the Wheaton Volunteer Rescue Squad. There are many ways to get involved: donating toys, providing financial support, sorting and wrapping and last but not least, delivering on Dec. 24 (for more, see story below).
I try not to miss the Christmas Eve delivery at our Wheaton properties -- the joy on the faces of the children as they greet Santa is unforgettable.
We cannot bring this program to our youngsters without your support. Thank you for your commitment to MHP's efforts to house people, empower families and strengthen neighborhoods. We wish your family the joy of the season.
In partnership,
Robert A. Goldman
MHP President

GATOR Adventures at KID Museum
Arcola Elementary School students in MHP's Great Achievers Toward Outstanding Results (GATOR) program visited the KID Museum to participate in a hands-on learning experience. The museum, located at the Davis Library in Bethesda, is an innovative learning space that incorporates science/technology/engineering/math (STEM), art and culture with creativity and critical thinking.
“They were exposed to new experiences that helped
broaden their world view.”
- Ernst Aristor, MHP Community, Life Resident Services
Program Supervisor
The GATOR students designed flying objects and explored how they move in the wind tubes. They learned about open, closed, parallel and serial circuits. They connected large tubes and pipes to make balls roll from one location to another using only gravity. Each activity encouraged teamwork and collaboration as the students experimented with different variables to discover new outcomes.

Recognition for
Beall's Grant Apartments
MHP's rehabilitation of Beall's Grant Apartments in downtown Rockville was honored as a successful stewardship and rehabilitation project by Peerless Rockville, an organization dedicated to preserving buildings, objects, and information important to Rockville’s heritage. Beall's Grant provides 74 modern, affordable apartments in the Rockville Town Center area, close to transit, shopping and workplaces. The award notes that the renovated Beall's Grant, which originally was a dilapidated motel, "connects Rockville's past with Rockville's future."
Thank you to Peerless Rockville for the recognition!
