Giving Tuesday
On Thursday we had Thanksgiving, then there was Black Friday, Small Business Saturday, and today we have Cyber Monday. So now Tuesday is all about giving! American Muslim Fund has a generous donor providing a donation match up to $5,000. Pitch in to support our campaign and make sure we hit our goal!
Donor Advised Funds (DAFs)
In just over 1.5 years, 28 families across the country have opened DAFs to distribute $600,000 to nonprofit organizations they care about. Each gift we make showcases the philanthropic spirit of the Muslim community and increases our goodwill in society. You can help us track Muslim generosity by opening a DAF. Please visit our website or click the video image below to learn more about DAFs.
Fund our strategic initiatives by contributing to our Endowment so we can make a sustainable difference for generations to come.

Karam means generosity in Arabic. Karam Foundation is a nonprofit organization on a mission to build a better future for Syria. Karam develops Innovative Education programs for Syrian refugee youth, distribute Smart Aid to Syrian families, and fund Sustainable Development projects initiated by Syrians for Syrians.

Karam is dedicated to providing longterm support in the form of smart aid for Syrian refugee
families in need. These are sustainable, future-building tools that stabilize families, educate children, prevent child labor, discourage early teen marriages, and keep refugees in host countries close to Syria.
Over a decade ago, Karam started with a food drive on the south-side of Chicago. Today, their impact expands across Syria, Turkey, Lebanon, and Jordan, building a better future for thousands of Syrian families.

I support charities where I can directly see the impact of the work they are doing. I have to believe in their leadership and feel connected to the mission of their work. I remember hearing about AMF when it was just an idea. It has been incredible to see the organization grow and succeed. In such a short time, AMF has already built name recognition and rapport amongst American Muslims and hundreds of nonprofit organizations. I was recently at ISNA, and was proud to hear attendees mention AMF and the impact that it has.
I am most passionate about inclusion at every level, regardless of race, religion, or background. I also care about public education, and making sure that everyone has access to a quality educational experience. I can rely on AMF to help me research which charities I want to support.
It is important to have organizations that connect donors and their interests with organizations that are directly aligned. It is great that AMF does the work necessary to make sure the contributions of donors have the maximum impact.
Today, and on Giving Tuesday, join me in supporting American Muslim Fund.
Send us a Organization Highlight/Donor Spotlight to be featured!
