I first went to Papua New Guinea back in 2006. It was my first deployment with ShelterBox, providing shelter to villagers displaced by the eruption of the East New Britain volcano, Mount Tavuvur. The people we're so warm and hospitable and It's fair to say that PNG is one of the most amazing and beautiful places I've been.
In April 2020, I'll be heading back, trekking the historic Kokoda Track alongside a team of ShelterBox Australia supporters. On ANZAC Day we'll attend the dawn service at Irobaiwa Village, a truly unique experience.
Will you join me on The Kokoda Trek in 2020 and raise much-needed funds for disaster relief?
Picture trekking across rugged mountain terrain, through lush tropical rainforest and into unspoiled villages of Papua New Guinea. Imagine retracing the footsteps of Australian soldiers and learning about the history of the battle sites from expert guides. The Kokoda Trek 2020 is going to be an unforgettable adventure and we’d love for you to take part.
