Trinkets & Togs Fashion Show Fundraiser
14 Years of Fun & Fashion
The Larrabee Center held its 14th Annual Trinkets & Togs Fashion Show Fundraiser at the Waverly Golf & Country Club in October. Staff, clients and community members enjoyed an evening of fashion and fundraising while celebrating inclusion in the community for people of all abilities. Travis Toliver, Chamber Director served as master of ceremonies with musical entertainment by Sam Crosser of the band “Crossfire”. Models, including clients, staff, loyal customers and family members, donned outfits and fashions from Trinkets & Togs Thrift Store. Guests packed the house to show their support for the mission of The Larrabee Center. We are so grateful for all the wonderful support we received for this event. From our amazing business sponsors to the generous donors, we raised over $5,000 to support our employment for all in our community!
Thank you to our generous sponsors for supporting our event and our mission!

Community Partners
We are honored to be part of a community that supports people of all abilities and the elderly being valued members of their community. We couldn’t fulfill our mission if it weren’t for the generous support of our champions.  We recently completed the 2nd phase of our carpet project at our Waverly Trinkets & Togs location.  We were so very pleased to have the support of the Bremer County Community FoundationCUNA Mutual Group Foundation, and the Marvin and Helen Schumacher Family Fund, without which we could not have completed this project.
With the support of the Waverly Chamber of Commerce Façade Grant, we now have new signs for the donation area at the Waverly Thrift Store and Employment Support Services entrance.
We are also to very grateful to the Waverly Knights of Columbus for their continued support of our Employment Support Services program. Their annual Tootsie Roll Drive raises funds to support programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Finally, we have completed improvement projects including a new sink and repairs to our garage door at the Grundy Center thrift store with the support of the Grundy County Community Foundation.
Celebrating 5 years in Grundy Center

In 2012, Trinkets & Togs Thrift Store opened its doors in Grundy Center. Over the past 5 years, the thrift store has become a staple in the community. While offering a unique shopping experience, Trinkets & Togs is helping to further the mission of The Larrabee Center. In partnership with local schools, youth with disabilities have the opportunity to gain valuable work experience. Adults with disabilities have found work experience and volunteer opportunities at the thrift store as well as employment support services, all of which help to enrich lives and enrich the community. We would like to thank all our supporters in the Grundy Center area. We are truly humbled by your support and look forward to serving the community for years to come!
