Cooking Matters® Comes to Banyan
Through the University of Minnesota Extension
The University of Minnesota Extension Cooking Matters® course empowers families with the skills, knowledge and confidence to make healthy, delicious and affordable meals.
Cooking Matters® is a six-week, cooking-based nutrition education program that empowers people to eat healthier and make the best use of their food resources.
The specialized curricula cover practical nutrition information, hands-on food preparation, and food budgeting and shopping. All participants receive recipes and other educational materials from the lessons, and adult participants take home a bag of groceries each week to practice what they've learned.
Thursday evenings are busy in the Banyan kitchen this spring!
