Therapies Impacting Her Life
Article ImageIyahna has changed so much over the last three years, and  her mother Johnetta believes it is due to the therapies she receives from Noble.
"Before Noble, Iyahna wouldn't look you in the eye. She was diagnosed with autism at age nine, and didn't communicate much. She had a difficult time relating to others because she wouldn't pick up on important social cues." Through the time she spends with Recreational Therapist Lauren White, however, she has become more warm and opening toward others, even smiling (as she is on the right in this photo with Lauren at United Way's 100th anniversary).
That confidence has also grown through Noble's Music Therapy, in which she has started writing her own music, singing and earning a spot with Second Chance String Orchestra.

“We took family photos recently, and her personality really came through. That never would have happended before!" Johnetta adds.
Article ImageMarty has worked in the grocery business for over 30 years, but seems to be really making his mark at Kroger. Customers get into his line so they can chat with him, and he wows them with his customer service.
“I like the people. The ones I work with, and the ones who shop here," he says. After he ensures that everyone is taken care of in his line, he deftly switches lanes to make sure that everyone has their groceries properly bagged. And if that slows down, he gathers merchandise that needs to be returned to store shelves and rounds up carts in the parking lot. "I work a lot and I love it," he says with a grin.
Outside of work, he lives in his own apartment and enjoys listening to music and hanging out with friends. Although he competed in quite a few lot of Special Olympic sports over the years, he has been paring that back. His newest interest is gardening. He started a garden club at his apartment complex, where their beds are filled with vegetables, including corn that is grown to make popcorn!
