HUFH Lifesaving Programs are up & running!
Here's how we do it:

"Sante Kominotè" - Community Based Health Care, delivered by Hands on the ground, in collaboration with Helping Hands from neighbors to the north.

Dear Mr. and Mrs. Schecter,

In the face of the Covid -19 pandemic and political unrest in Haiti, our team on the ground continues to fulfill Hands Up for Haiti's mission: to deliver essential lifesaving health care to the sickest and most impoverished people of northern Haiti. Our team of 40 doctors, nurses and community health workers is supported by volunteers and donors like you in the US and Canada.

Please read below about some of the programs delivered by hands on the ground, and how the helping hands in the north continue to support these efforts.

Sincerely,

HANDS ON THE GROUND:

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE:

Malnutrition Program:
Twins Maylove & Maykesie were admitted to HUFH's malnutrition program at the age of 7 months, unable to sit or walk because they were so severely malnourished. They received a full course of treatment with our nutritious peanut-based product, Medika Mamba. These pictures, taken just last week when their mother came to thank us again, speak for themselves.

Emergency Medical & Surgical Fund: Dales Kerry, born with a cleft palate and who suffered from severe anemia, was referred to a specialty plastic surgery team for treatment and repair -- on his way to a new and healthier life!

Community Water Project: Program leader Frantz Toussaint made certain that the new well that HUFH recently dug in the impoverished community of Petit-Anse is in good repair, and up and running to ensure good health! For anyone counting, this is well #14!

Mobile Santè: Haitian Run, Haitian Led Outreach Clinics to Communities in need: We are there to meet the need, treating hundreds of patients just this last month.
