Spring Track and Field
This spring, we provided scholarships to 19 students to participate in the track and field program at Ockley Green Middle School. Working together with Self Enhancement, Inc., we're able to provide positive role models to young athletes.

Welcome New Partner: Home Free
Our community partners help us provide equal access to sports by identifying those most at risk and in need of financial assistance. This spring, we expanded  our partnership with Volunteers of America to include the Home Free program. Home Free assists adults and children surviving domestic violence to move not just toward safety, but toward freedom and all that the word home suggests.

"Working with children and teens experiencing trauma, we know how important activities like sports can be in improving self-concept and facilitating healing. Being on a team also helps to promote positive relationships and to counter the isolation that is so often a part of experiencing domestic violence. It’s exciting for us to be able to partner with Off the Sideline to remove barriers and make sure families have access to the benefits of participation in sports."  Christine Robins, Child and Youth Advocacy Coordinator, Volunteers of America

Thanks to Renewing Sponsors
Timbers Army and CareOregon
Thanks to Timbers Army and CareOregon for continuing their support of our efforts to build strong communities by providing sports scholarships for kids in grades 5-9. This is the second year these organizations have sponsored Off the Sideline. We wouldn't be here without them and our other generous funders!
