We're pleased to welcome Portland soccer greats Nat Borchers and Adrianna Franch, who will share their experiences and tell their stories about youth sports in our communities.
Nat Borchers grew up in Pueblo, Colorado and went to the University of Denver. He played four years of college soccer and graduated with dual degrees in accounting. Nat played professional soccer for 14 seasons with 12 years spent in Major League Soccer and 2 years in Europe. He is a two-time MLS Cup Champion with both Real Salt Lake and the Portland Timbers.
Adrianna Franch was named 2017 and 2018 NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year for the second year running. She was a four-year starter during her college career at Oklahoma State University. While at Oklahoma State, Franch guided the Cowgirls to the NCAA Tournament in three of her four seasons. A three-time All-American, Franch registered 38 career shutouts, while recording a 0.69 goals-against average and 325 saves across four seasons. In 2013 she was the sixth-overall selection in the 2013 NWSL Draft, and has been playing professionally ever since. In addition to being named NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year two years running, she achieved Team MVP and Community MVP, and set a NWSL single-season record for shutouts.
Both Nat and Adrianna will be available for photo ops and to sign autographs at the event.
