Across the nation, kids from the lowest-income homes are more than three times as likely to be physically inactive. This means the more than 25% of Oregon children who live below the poverty line are less likely to gain the health, physical fitness, confidence, problem solving and leadership benefits from playing team sports.
By joining us tomorrow our event or donating today, you help kids like the fifth-grade Hayhurst Elementary girls volleyball team and Kelly Elementary basketball teams play sports for the first time. Or make sure kids like aspiring footballer Nathaniel and basketball player Terrance can keep playing with the team they love.
We believe all kids deserve to benefit from the social and health advantages of team-sports, and you can help make that happen. Tickets will be available at the door, but plan ahead and get your tickets now. We hope to see you tomorrow night.
