Diverson Conference 2018
Our second Diversion Conference was a great success! Many thanks to our partners and presenters. We had a great group of people from around the seven county metro area, including County Attorneys and Judges, Community Corrections, County Probation and Police Departments. Attendees left informed, energized, and excited about continuing the conference in the future.

“The Diversion Conference was another example of how kids are best served when stakeholders collaborate and share ideas. The perspectives presented by the prosecutor and judge, combined with the information and ideas shared by the four youth serving agencies gave all attendees a lot of food for thought on how they can improve their work with young people. All of that, along with the presentation on the brain provided by Dr. David Walsh made for a very informative day.”

'ANGST' - Continuing the conversation
'Angst' aims to start conversations about Anxiety
By: Hannah Black, Woodbury Bulletin
"Close to one-third of adolescents in the United States have some kind of anxiety disorder, according to the National Institute of Mental Health. Local mental health organization Youth Service Bureau hopes a movie might open up lines of communication between young students and their parents."
ANGST – a 56-minute film and virtual reality experience that explores anxiety, its causes, effects and what we can do about it.
This new documentary shines a bright light on anxiety and offers resources, tools and hope.
Join YSB in our hope - that as youth in this film share their candidness and bravery - it will inspire our community to do the same.
Screenings will be followed with a Mental Health Panel/Q&A sessions, led by YSB.
