Dear Partners and Investors in the Work of TLP,

In celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, I had the privilege of joining in a day of service with TLP staff at our Drop-in Resource Center in Washington Park. Our partners in the day of service were the Honeycomb Project and volunteers from the Obama Foundation.

The room was packed with folks from all over the city; every age, race, educational, and faith affiliation. My heart was overwhelmed by the energy in the room – the energy of love in action. Caring neighbors who gave up a holiday to spend time serving others by making over 200 nutritious lunches for youth experiencing homelessness. Role modeling for their children their value of service to others. I was filled with joy watching toddlers help pack the lunch boxes and primary schoolers slicing strawberries while being supervised by college students and retirees.

Events like these inspire and replenish us in our work. We recognize that we are not alone in our service to homeless youth; that folks from all over GET IT! They invest their time, talent, and treasure and engage in a partnership with TLP so that we stand as a community with youth on their journey to a home and a future with promise.

SO grateful for each and every one of you.

Best,

Jeri Linas
Chief Executive Officer

THANK YOU to everyone who participated in TLP's Holiday Gift Drive! Because of your generosity, TLP's youth were able to embrace the joy of the holiday season and feel connected to our entire TLP Community.

Corporate and community partners and donors who participated in our gift drive this year, serving over 100 youth, sponsored holiday wish lists, collected in-kind donations, and helped wrap all of the gifts prior to delivery. Because of these important partnerships, everyone involved in TLP's Holiday Gift Drive made sure each young person we serve can experience the same sense of wonderment during the holiday season that so many of us take for granted.

For more information about how to get involved in next year's drive, please contact Manager of Special Events & Affinity Groups Kristen Freeland at kfreeland@tlpchicago.org.

HELP US BUILD
HOME, HOPE, AND OPPORTUNITY FOR
OUR YOUTH

Every young person who enters TLP has the chance for a new beginning - one defined by their potetial, not their circumstances. Beyond meeting youth's immediate needs, we make a daily committment to putting young people on a path to reach their full potential through educational, employment, recreational, and mental health support. When you make your gift, you are standing with our youth on their journey to a home and a future with promise.
