Student Feedback:
Pete Petra on The Theology of Ministry
"Taking the Theology of Ministry class earlier this year with Dr. Renihan was a great privilege. From the lecture material through to the Q&A, recommended reading, and the assignments, every aspect was instructive and edifying from start to finish - not to mention thoroughly enjoyable! Having come from a background where philosophy of ministry is perhaps more of the emphasis, it was so refreshing and eye-opening to delve deeper into the instruction that God himself has given us pertaining to ministry. This has had an immediate impact on my work as a pastor. It’s corrected and strengthened my thinking about what my ministry is, and caused me to appropriately tremble more at the mind-blowing privilege and responsibility we have as ministers of the gospel. The UK needs more of this!"

Every penny counts!
Like many other educational institutions, we have wrestled with the decision of when to resume in person classes. Because of the continued uncertainty regarding the Covid situtation, we have decided to continue to hold all classes online for at least August and September. While we look forward to the day we can again engage in face-to-face instruction, we believe this decision is the prudent one, as we seek the best interest of our staff and students.
There is no doubt this pandemic has been challenging to everyone! We recognize that it has touched everyone in different ways, yet we acknowledge the providence of God in all, as always.
During this unexpected time of less busyness, Dr. Renihan took advantage of the opportunity to finish his upcoming book, For the Vindication of the Truth: A Brief Exposition of the First London Baptist Confession of Faith.
Tom Nettles (Founders Ministries) provided a forward to this volume, which we invite you to read here. Check it out for a small foretaste of the blessing this book is sure to be to the body of Christ! And, for a more in depth overview of what Dr. Renihan's book is all about, you won't want to miss Episode 21 of Theology in Particular.
For the Vindication of the Truth: A Brief Exposition of the First London Baptist Confession of Faith is on track to be released in early 2021.
2020-21 Ronald S. Baines Scholar

In tribute to the late Ronald S. Baines, Ph.D., generous donors have provided funds to support the Ronald S. Baines Scholar Award. This honor is granted to a senior student who shows promise in Old Testament studies. The recipient is determined by the administration in consultation with Old Testament faculty.
IRBS Theological Seminary is pleased to announce that the 2020-21 award has been made to Salvatore Pezzino.
Dr. Baines was pastor of Grace Reformed Baptist Church, Brunswick, Maine, a Trustee of the Institute of Reformed Baptist Studies and later of IRBS Theological Seminary. It was hoped that he would teach Old Testament courses at the Seminary, but in the Lord’s providence he entered his Savior’s presence on August 28, 2016. He was an excellent scholar and a beloved friend. We are pleased to make this award in his honor.

2 Timothy 2:1-2
You then, my child, be strengthened by the grace that is in Christ Jesus, and what you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also. (ESV)
