McIntire Botanical Garden is Hosting Visioning Walks to Display Schematic Design Features
On Saturday, May 11th, McIntire Botanical Garden will be leading several Visioning Walks. 
The Visioning Walks, guided by members of the MBG Board, will take visitors through the garden site while describing features from the garden's schematic design. 
These walks will provide people an opportunity to visualize where future garden features will be located and check out the progress that was made on our successful January workday.
When: Saturday, May 11th from 1:00 - 2:30 PM, every half hour
Where: MBG Garden Site (Corner of John
W. Warner Pkwy and Melbourne Rd)
Parking: Along Melbourne Rd and overflow in Charlottesville High School lot
Who: Anyone - this event is free and open to the public!
The Visioning Walks will begin at 1:00 PM and continue on the half hour until 3:00 PM. Light refreshments will be served, no sign-up is required, and MBG recommends wearing comfortable walking shoes. For more information, visit our Facebook event page.

McIntire Botanical Garden is the Tacos on Tuesday Featured Charity for June
McIntire Botanical Garden is taking part in "Charlottesville's tastiest fundraiser" - Tacos on Tuesday. This pop-up event, held at the SariSand Tile Showroom and Rockpile Construction Headquarters, helps raise money for local charities. Join us for delicious food, interesting people, and an opportunity to support the local community.

The event is free to the public, however a donation to the local, featured charity is suggested.

MBG Teaming Up with the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation
McIntire Botanical Garden is pleased to announce that it now has endowment funds with the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation
The establishment of these funds creates additional giving options for our donors.
McIntire Botanical Garden is very grateful to the generous donors who have created these funds that will assist in generating the income needed to build the Garden.

Spring and Summer Butterfly Walks - Save the Date!
McIntire Botanical Garden is continuing everyone's favorite summer event - butterfly walks!
Master Naturalist and Tree Steward, Nancy Weiss, will guide visitors of all ages around the garden site in search of local butterfly specimens. Visitors will enjoy learning about the great variety of butterflies that live in Central Virginia.
All walks will be held from 10:00 - 11:30 AM on the following dates:
  • June 1st, 2019
  • July 14th, 2019
  • August 26th, 2019
The Butterfly Walks are a great opportunity to enjoy the garden site's rolling hills, forests, and fields while observing the beauty of the butterfly in their natural habitat.
